Buffer Belts

 The Willburg buffer / wide belt system is designed to collect flats or pots so they can be picked up and moved with a set of transport forks to the area where they are to be nested. This increases the efficiency of the whole line, allowing smooth flow of pot material, handled normally by a single operator, saving time, money and effort. The system can be designed to fit the customer needs for length up 40 feet by 6 feet 6 inches wide.

The buffer conveyor belt is stopped from running when pots are removed from the belt with the transport/ spacing forks and if the belt is completely filled with pots by means of an electric eye. The complete frame is powder coated and the surface on which the conveyor belt is running is made of steel. The mechanical push-over unit pushes the pots over from the built in positioning conveyor onto the wide conveyor belt. The displacement of the wide belt is measured by an encoder on the drive shaft (this assures exact measuring). By using the keyboard (PLC touch screen) you can change the pot size to another pot size. Also you have the ability to space your container plants on the wide belt. In the PLC you can store 20 different programs.

This increases the efficiency of the whole line, allowing smooth flow of potted material, handled normally by a single operator, saving time, money and effort. The system can be designed to fit the customer needs for length up 40 feet by 6 feet 6 inches wide.

This special pushover system pushes the pots from the built-in belt conveyor onto the transport trailers with which the pots are then removed by transport forks or by hand. The transport trailers are automatically driven by a floor-mounted system of chains. A large display allows setting of the required size of pot, with 25 preset programs. The pusher is mechanical, i.e. the pusher arm is easy to adjust and increases safety, featuring a 2 m belt conveyor and an upstream accumulator. Thanks to an extensive assortment of accessories we are in a position to offer you customized solutions for special purposes.

Portable Tray Spacing Forks

The Patented Pack Manufacturing Portable Tray Spacing Forks are an innovative and economical way to reduce labor costs associated with container relocation. Made specifically for transporting liner trays, these forks can be accommodated to work with many container types. The Pack Spacing Forks mount onto the front forks of your forklift, allowing you to carry approximately 48 square feet of material. A set of small conveyor belts run in unison to move the trays forward and backward. Even more, intuitive touchscreen controls allows you to start, stop, and set the spacing you want between rows. As you drive, the system tracks your speed and unloads the trays with the spacing you decide. Options are available for mounting to tractor or other light utility vehicle. Custom staging platforms available upon request.

The Pack Mfg. PM1090 is constructed of a stainless steel frame with a transparent poly-carbonate hood. It is designed to provide controlled watering capability for multiple watering applications, such as flats, trays, pots and baskets. The Pack Mfg. Watering Chamber can be wired into the production line controls, so that if production is stopped or started anywhere along the line, the watering is stopped and started simultaneously, preventing over and under watering of any product already in the watering chamber.

The Sub-irrigator provides the advantages of ebb-and-flow irrigation in an in-line system setup. It is ideal for use in seeding, propagation and shipping lines, where uniform full watering is needed, and overhead watering would either be insufficient or not desirable. The final watering before shipping can be critical, and the Pack Mfg. Sub-irrigator fully waters the roots without applying moisture (and the possibility of molding) on the upper parts of the plant during shipping.
